Regional insurance company Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Tennessee (BCBST) is redesigning its claims processing system with multi-tiered hardware platforms. Client/server technology is being used to link PC-based applications with mainframe-based CICS transactions. The PC programs interact with the mainframe from a GUI, developed with Powersoft's PowerBuilder development environment.
