IBM's Fast Service Upgrade (FSU) procedure is intended to facilitate upgrading a VSE system to VSE/ESA version 2 release 2. The new version includes tools for making the system ready for the year 2000. FSU works on systems running VSE/ESA V1R3 or higher. It creates a new IJSYSRS.SYSLIB to update libraries PRD1.BASE, PRD1.MACLIB and PRD2.GEN1 to move start-up customization from the old system to the new one.
