A discussion of the use of parallel CL/1 programming for both I/O-bound and CPU-bound applications is presented. Sample source code is included for several tasks and subtasks that process data stored in program memory or read and write to files. The tasks illustrate parallel processing by showing how sequences of code that can be executed simultaneously are identified and implemented for such basic solutions as table lookup.
