Trident Services' Operating System/Environment Manager (OS/EM) gives IBM mainframe users the ability to upgrade the Job Entry Subsystem 2 (JES2) in IBM's OS/400 operating system by transparently modifying the Job Control Language (JCL). It can automatically update Mellon Bank Modification, named for the company that originally developed the enhancements, statements for Year 2000 compliance.
OS/EM can also edit routines that cause bugs if two many users try to access a VSAM file at one time. Some managers use OS/EM to provide a standardized JES EXIT mod handling capability for multiple clients. ...
