In response to market conditions and technological progress, Inrange Technologies Inc. has said it will focus exclusively on storage products and services. Inrange previously served the telecommunications and data communications market.
Inrange has divested its telecommunications division to focus exclusively on selling its line of Fibre Channel directors. Directors are high-end switches for storage area networks.
Chuck Foley, executive vice president and CTO of Inrange, downplayed the widespread troubles in the telecommunications market, saying the rapid growth of the storage networking market drove Inrange to change focus.
