ICOM Informatics plc. has adapted its Winsurf Mainframe Studio (WMS) Web-to-host software specifically for the IBM iSeries. Midrange shops can now use the software for displaying OS/400 data in rich Web pages.
WMS was previously available in a version for both zSeries and iSeries machines. The new version targets the iSeries exclusively, hoping to appeal to shops with no mainframe connectivity needs.
WMS automatically adds 5250 green screen functions to the Web page. Users can customize the software to meet individual style requirements. The software is designed for users who have minimal programming expertise or developers who have little time to develop custom applications.
