SpamCure filters enterprise e-mail. (Security).

Enterprise Systems Journal, November, 2002

SpamCure is a new spam-filtering server that tackles spam for organizations with 50 to 50,000 mailboxes. Mail-Filters.com Inc. says its three-pronged approach minimizes false positives. Each e-mail is put through 11 categories of tests. Next, spam signatures are updated regularly, reflecting new Internet spam and tricks used to fool spam-filtering programs. Finally, users and administrators can customize filters to stop e-mail based on user preferences. Spam can be held at the server, sent to a special folder on the client's machine, or marked in the user's inbox.

SpamCure interacts with all e-mail servers, the company says, including Microsoft Exchange and SMTP-based servers on Unix systems. Contact: Mail-Filters. com Inc. San Mateo, Calif. (650) 212-6245...
