The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) is a public, non-profit, international organisation dedicated to conducting its work independently and on a scientifically-sound basis. Since it was founded in 1974 to help in the quest for global food security, IFDC has conducted technology transfer activities in more than 120 countries, contributing also to the development of human resources and institutional capacity building in more than 150 countries through more than 600 training programmes. In this interview, Dr. Amit Roy, President and Chief Executive Officer of IFDC, tells FI about some of IFDC's most significant achievements.
