Non-destructive testing (NDT) specialist equipment supplier Ardrox Engineering, recently acquired by the Coventry-based Norman Hay Group, has expanded its management team with the appointment of Terry Howell in a business development role.

Terry has around 25 years' experience in the NDT sector, having previously worked for Magnaflux and Bodycote Materials Testing.

Terry, who lives in Walsall, will strengthen Ardrox Engineering's sales and marketing drive as the company bids to further expand its global client base within the aerospace and other niche manufacturing sectors.

Norman Hay Group managing director Vic Bellanti commented: "Terry's appointment is a key role for Ardrox Engineering to promote the company's range of equipment worldwide, with significant investment being made by the group in new product development."

As part of an ongoing commitment to increase product support, fluid and compressed air systems specialists Thomas Wright/Thorite Group have appointed Steve Bradbury as product champion for the Europa Safety Products' range of air-fed breathing equipment and Mark Howarth to a similar position for PIAB vacuum pumps and products.

Steve is based at Thorite's Doncaster Sales and Service Centre, whilst Mark operates from the group's Blackburn Centre. Both are now specially trained to provide expert advice and trouble-shooting skills for any aspect of their respective product families.

Speaking of the appointment Ross Gowler, Thorite's marketing director commented: "There is no substitute for in-depth product knowledge to ensure customers make the correct purchasing decision. Our product champions are in growing demand to advise and explain the benefits of a diverse selection of Thorite equipment. I believe this reflects our overall approach to provide far more for our customers than just high stocking levels and rapid delivery."
