A traveler describes his trip through Turkey via a bus line called Otogar. The trip, which began in Gumruk and ended in Istanbul, was enjoyable and pleasent due to the cleanliness, comfort and efficient service provided in the bus.
During the early 1990s I dreamed of traveling through the Sinai, Jordan, Syria and Turkey. My journey in June, 1994, turned out to be far richer and more enjoyable than I had anticipated. Without the Lonely Planet travel book series this trip would have been not only different, but neither as interesting nor as rewarding. And I certainly owe a deep sense of gratitude to all the friendly people who made the trip possible.
