Warren Leight is not sure he wants to be known as a playwright specializing in jazz sagas. But clearly, the theme is not yet out of his system. After reaping general acclaim and a 1999 Tony award for his bittersweet inside-the-jazz-life play Side Man, Leight halfway returns to that milieu in his new work, tentatively titled Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine.
