ACT II CONFERENCE
From June 16-18, 2000, 225 leaders of the commercial and not-for-profit theatre sectors came together for the first time since 1974 at ACT II, a conference jointly organized by TCG and the League of American Theatres and Producers. The meeting, held on the Harvard/Radcliffe campus in Cambridge, Mass., focused on four issues of concern to commercial and not-for-profit theatres: marketing and press, advocacy and education, the commercial/nonprofit relationship and the artist's role in both environments.
