After a year-long search, the Joseph Papp Public Theater/New York Shakespeare Festival has named Fran Reiter to the position of executive director. Reiter was a deputy mayor of New York City from 1994-1997. Recently, in conjunction with her work at the helm of her own business consulting firm, she served as interim chief executive of Dance Theater of Harlem.
Frank Mack is stepping down as managing director of Berkeley's California Shakespeare Festival to take on the equivalent position at the 28-year-old Geva Theatre in Rochester, N.Y. He fills the vacancy left in September ...
