ACTING IN THE MOMENT
I take a bit of exception to Anne Bogart's assertion ("Balancing Acts," Jan. '01) that "emotional recall is particularly dangerous because it works beautifully on film and television. After the moment happens, you never create it again." This is simply untrue. Film and television actors are usually required, by the continuity style of shooting, to repeat performances and "moments" over and over again from different angles, sometimes with hours of re-lighting in between.
