Rare is the actor who has the versatility to be a clown and a king One summer, early in his tenure at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Dan Donohue proved beyond a doubt that he had the stamina to be a repertory actor. He did so by appearing in the first act of The Pool of Bethesda, at the Ashland company's indoor Angus Bowmer Theatre--then, his part finished, racing next door to the open-air Elizabethan Theatre, just in time to change costume and become one of Dogberry's motley lieutenants in Act 2 of Much Ado About Nothing.
