Libby Appel stakes her claim at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival
Newark. Seattle. Medford. Ashland. Nine hours of flying. The pioneers had a more arduous task-six months of traveling the Oregon Trail in a wagon train-but one can imagine their exhilaration on reaching their end-of-the-continent destination. That thought sets the mood for my own private western, a first-ever visit to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
