Apparently, you can go home again: Des McAnuff has been appointed artistic director of California's La Jolla Playhouse, a post he held for the 2001 season on an interim basis. A prolific playwright and director, McAnuff was the theatre's artistic director from 1983 (when the playhouse was revived after remaining dark for two decades) through 1994.
