Robert Fails is the artistic director of the Goodman Theatre in Chicago and the winner of the 2000 Tony award for best director, for "Death of a Salesman." He was president of TOG from 1988 to 1991.
Falls's schedule precluded his participation in the video archive project. This interview was conducted on May 14.
