Lou Fant and Charles Corey, two founding members of the National Theatre of the Deaf's acting company--the first ensemble to employ deaf actors and use American Sign Language as a primary means of communication--died within days of one another in June. Fant, the company's first hearing actor, died from complications of pulmonary fibrosis.
