Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, so I don't wish to argue with the array of dramaturgs Lenora Inez Brown assembled ("Night of the Living Dramaturg," Oct. '01) to blast the chapter concerning dramaturgs that the Chronicle of Higher Education excerpted from my book, Mis-Directing the Play: An Argument Against Contemporary Theatre. But I would like to correct some errors of fact.
