Acclaimed choreographer George Faison has been appointed acting artistic director of Crossroads Theatre Company in New Brunswick, N.J. Faison is deferring his salary for the year-long appointment while Crossroads tries to work through a $2-million debt that has kept the theatre dark since October 2000.
