IT WAS ONLY TWO YEARS AGO, IN THESE VERY pages, that Linda Geeson writing about the 1999 version of TCG's Theatre Facts touted how "record-setting U.S. economic expansion" had played "on the stages of America's nonprofit theatres." These boom times contributed to a fiscal climate that encouraged expanded repertories, increased financial stability and spawned a greater investment in art and artists.
