Roberta Uno, founder and former artistic director of New World Theater, of Amherst, Mass., will join the Ford Foundation as program officer for arts and culture in late September. After 23 years with New World, Uno is taking a leave of absence from both the theatre and her professorship at University of Massachusetts.
