Before a single word is uttered, Myung Hee Cho's designs have already revealed the essence of Naomi Iizuka's 36 Views. In the silent opening interlude, actress Liana Pai sheds her layers of kimono, each filmy affectation unveiled slowly in a polychromatic metamorphosis, until it is finally reduced to black and white.
