THERE ARE MOVEMENTS IN life more surreal than in any fiction. Michelle Carter, at home one day, working on a play commissioned by the Magic Theatre, got a phone call from one of her characters. The caller was David Kaczynski, brother of Ted, the infamous Unabomber sentenced to life in prison in 1998 for his 17-year mail-bomb campaign that killed three people and injured 23 others.
