Thoroughly Modern Millie composer JEANINE TESORI spoke to American Theatre after finishing a morning-long session with Tony Kushner, her collaborator on two new musicals, Caroline or change and Don Juan de Marco. She is also writing a Harlem Globetrotters musical with Suzan-Lori Parks.
Where did you grow up?
Port Washington, Long Island.
Do you have any pets?
No. I want a dog--a lot. We do have a water bug named Saul who comes out in our kitchen. My five-year-old daughter has a fish, named Sammy George. So between Saul and Sammy George....
Life is full.
