TCG's deputy director Joan Channick spoke at TCG's Fall Forum in New York City with Todd Haimes, who assumed the executive directorship of New York City's Roundabout Theatre Company in 1983 and seven years later became its artistic director. Channick began the conversation by asking Haimes to explain how, after finding the theatre in "dire circumstances," he led the Roundabout to its current successful status.

JOAN CHANNICK: Describe the Roundabout's condition when you arrived in 1983.
