BEFORE ESCAPING THE MASS ORGY OF angst, humiliation and self-doubt that is high school, one must suffer appalling rites of passage: an awkward pageantry of big hair and bad tans (the prom), written permission to excrete bodily toxins (hall passes) and a rigorous test of advanced survival skills (dodge ball). But the most vexing and notorious of these rituals, as New York City playwright Jenny Lyn Bader. and countless victims of adolescence will attest, is the SAT.
