New York City: A musicians strike silenced musical Broadway for four days in March, while Broadway producers, represented by the League of American Theatres and Producers, and the Local 802 of the American Federation of Musicians disputed the elimination or lowering of the minimum number of musicians required in the orchestra pits of Broadway's largest theatres.
