When Allison Narver bid her hometown goodbye and headed for the Yale Drama School graduate directing program, it was unclear if Seattle had lost her talents to the wider world. Later, when the post-graduate Narver became "house director" of the blockbuster Broadway musical The Lion King, the prospect of her coming back to the Northwest to run a small theatre seemed a longshot.
