Bridget Carpenter took home the Kesselring Prize for playwriting--along with its $10,000 purse--in late November at the National Arts Club in New York City. Carpenter was nominated for the award--which honors promising new playwrights who have not yet received national attention--by Kentucky's Actors Theatre of Louisville for her play The Faculty Room.
