After 18 years leading the San Diego Performing Arts League, founding executive director Alan Ziter has moved on to become the president and CEO of the Naval Training Center Foundation, also in San Diego, where he will oversee the conversion of 26 historic buildings into a new cultural district. A search is underway for his successor. Ziter is one of the leading arts advocates in the area and was the first person hired by the Performing Arts League in 1986. Prior to his West Coast tenure, Ziter was the marketing director for the League of Chicago Theatres and worked in the Chicago office of the Shubert Foundation.
