Minneapolis: The Guthrie Theater's literary director Michael Bigelow Dixon had an idea. He wondered, "How can the theatre address the right to free speech beyond merely depicting how the government interferes with our private lives?" So Dixon hooked up with Jack Reuler, managing artistic director of Minneapolis's Mixed Blood Theatre Company, who agreed to make Dixon's idea happen.
