I am sorry that American Theatre chose Fred C. Adams of the Utah Shake-spearean Festival to voice the Mormon reaction to Angels in America. I am truly embarrassed. As a gay Utahan; ex-Mormon; actor; former student of Fred Adams; and brother, son, uncle, grandson, cousin, nephew and best friend to countless faithful, stalwart and true believing Latter-Day Saints, I could not disagree more with Mr. Adams's summation of the play's accuracy, its effect on Mormonism, and its effect on America's conception of the church.
