George C. Wolfe, producer of New York City's Public Theater since 1993, will relinquish the title during the 2004-05 season. During his years in the high-profile post, the Tony-winning director helped nurture such shows as Anna Deavere Smith's Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992; Savion Glover's Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk; Arthur Miller's The Ride Down Mount Morgan; and Suzan-Lori Parks's Topdog/Underdog, and he presided over the transfer of 11 productions to Broadway.
