Costa Mesa, Calif., and New Haven, Conn.: Amy Freed's Safe in Hell and newcomer Noah Haidle's Mr. Marmalade are performing on the main stage of South Coast Repertory's 7th annual Pacific Playwrights Festival, May 7-9. New plays by Lucinda Coxon (Vesuvius), Craig Lucas (The Singing Forest) and Sarah Ruhl (The Clean House), plus an untitled work by Richard Greenberg, will have staged readings. Visit www.scr.org.
