Raj, an Indian doctor with dark skin and a propensity for foreign travel, and Susan, his Jewish girlfriend, are stopped at an airport and interrogated. The event--not difficult to imagine in our post-9/11 world--resonates through their relationship in unpredictable and ambiguous ways. From this premise Chicago playwright Stuart Flack has fashioned Homeland Security, one of four plays on the theme of human rights being presented this year by Philadelphia's politically engaged InterAct Theatre Company.
