SEATTLE: It will literally be an empty space--at least for the next two-to-three months or so. In response to financial difficulties, including a mounting debt that threatens to close it permanently, Empty Space Theatre of Seattle suspended operations, indefinitely postponed production for the rest of the year, downsized its employees to three staff members, and placed its artistic director, Allison Narver, on furlough.
