During their date scene in Eyes of the Heart, actors Eunice Wong and Alexis Camins kiss each other a bit more enthusiastically than I'd imagined my characters would, but the scene is humorous and endearing. Still, Khul Titchenda, the young Cambodian student (nicknamed "Chenda") who is acting as an apprentice/consultant to the production of my play, at New York City's National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO), has a stern expression on her face.
