American Theatre, February, 2005 by Estvanik, Nichole
HOLDERS SEASON: Champagne, candelabras, bougainvillea and Verdi's La Traviata: just another spring evening in the West Indies. The grounds of a 300-year-old plantation house are the setting for this annual open-air arts fest. This year, evenings will be devoted to composer Stephen Schwartz (performing his own work from shows including Godspell and Wicked) and veteran musical theatre actor Michael Ball.
On "Family Saturday," comedians and opera singers will wander the gardens entertaining picnickers, while in the intimate gallery of Holders House, British actress Stella Quilley performs an anthology of poetry about ghosts by Kipling, Yeats, Nash and others.
