It was fascinating to read about the production of Macbeth performed to people in the U.S. Army. But after I read about one of the Pentagon's schemes to keep militarism going in the 21st century through a different kind of soldier, I suggest a more recent bill of fare: the often neglected but not forgotten Czech classic R.U.R. by Karel Capek (in the marvelous late-'80s translation by Claudia Novack-Jones). Perhaps it could encourage some discourse.
