WEINER FESTWOCHEN: Yasmina Reza's Une piece espagnole, a Bulgarian-play-within-a-Spanish-play-within-a-French-play appearing at the Vienna Festival, gives a good indication of the program's international flavor. But the city itself plays a prominent role: Belgian playwright Tom Lanoye's new work Fort Europa--in which spiritually empty Europeans seeking a new homeland find that no nation will take them in--will be performed in the the Sudbahnhof train station. Across town, in a vacant hospital building once used for Nazi-sponsored euthanasia, Christoph Marthaler of Switzerland stages a musical investigation of "exclusion and selection" titled Schutz vor der Zukunft (A Shield Against the Future). And in Familientisch, Israeli director David Maayan's actors will travel...
