WASHINGTON, D.C.: Josefina Lopez's 1990 play Real Women Have Curves, adapted into an award-winning film in 2002, takes on perennially human themes--perceptions of beauty, women's roles, family, immigration and labor--and remains "universal and relevant," according to director Abel Lopez (in photo), who revives the play from May 5-29 at GALA Hispanic Theatre.
