Alan Eisenberg announced in February that he will not seek another term with Actors' Equity Association, where he serves as executive director, when his contract expires in October 2006. At that time Eisenberg will have led the association for 25 years--about which Patrick Quinn, Equity president, commented, "Cats may hold the record for the longest-running show on Broadway, but in our eyes, Alan will always hold that title." Eisenberg has presided over the labor union as its membership nearly doubled and earnings for actors increased.
