What if Cain had been armed with a semi-automatic? The United States Theatre Project's inaugural staging won't ink in the details of that nightmarish scenario, but the show might help you think about the question. Based on nearly three years' worth of research, including interviews with hundreds of adolescents across the country, columbinus is an eight-actor, two-plus-hour theatrical probing of the shootings that took place at Columbine High School, in Littleton, Colo., on April 20, 1999.
