STONE MOUNTAIN, GA.: David Thomas (in photo), the founding artistic director of 20-year-old ART Station Theatre, had been wanting to adapt Bailey White's episodic memoir Mama Makes Up Her Mind and Other Dangers of Southern Living for more than a decade, after hearing her spin tales about her rural Georgia roots in a gravelly drawl on National Public Radio.
