NEW YORK CITY: A show of Hans, please: Who wants to see Fiona Shaw embody Danish-born children's author Hans Christian Andersen in the musical My Life as a Fairytale? The much-anticipated headliner for Lincoln Center Festival 2005 was conceived and directed by Chen Shi-Zheng (The Peony Pavilion). An hallucinogenic biography with songs by Magnetic Fields singer-writer Stephin Merritt and a book by Erik Ehn, the show features Blair Brown, Mia Maestro and Mary Lou Rosato in its all-female cast and runs July 27-30 at John Jay College.
