Congratulations to the American Theatre staff on the magazine's handsome redesign (Nov. '05). The sleek headlines and layouts, the improved editorial content and, of course, the use of color, are all praiseworthy. But what most impresses me about the redesign is just below the surface of the pages. What I see in the new American Theatre is the true commitment of not only the AT staff but also the TCG staff and the TCG board in seeing the magazine as a vital tool for promoting theatre and supporting theatre artists.
