Allow me to let you in on a few things that you may or may not know. Many not-for-profit theatres across the country actually give birth to new musicals. Some develop and premiere new musicals. Others rework popular favorites that didn't quite reach their potential the first time around. Some of these stand-alone productions are of such quality that producers wish they had the wherewithal to present them in other venues.
