CORAL GABLES, FLA.: There's something brewing in South Florida--and, for once, it's not a hurricane. The theatres of Coral Gables--the upscale "City Beautiful" southerly adjacent to Miami--are launching a collaborative initiative this summer, reflecting a Miami theatre scene that is growing ever more cohesive. Spearheaded by City Theatre, five companies have joined in branding their summer offerings--along with Coral Gables's dining, shopping and other arts venues--as a citywide cultural season: Summer in the City Beautiful.
